We will help to coordinate mass mobilization of people for peace and global justice so folks can assemble where they live to talk, educate, activate and organize ourselves with our neighbors in our neighborhoods. Each neighborhood assembly will gather in a neighborhood park, school, public space or even close off a street (permits are easy to get, but they need to be done in a timely fashion) and include activities such as:art/sign/banner making, food, music, neighborhood outreach (leafleting and or door-to-door) and a chance for neighbors to meet each other, stay in touch, take some next steps to organize their neighborhood for peace and global justice and build community. We will contact existing neighborhood groups or interested individuals to ask them to convene their neighborhood event and we will provide resources and support to make it very simple and easy. One idea is for neighbors to make peace banners that can be hung from telephone poles and a large banner with the neighborhood's name on it to bring to the larger gathering and any future events like demonstrations and marches.

Each city or area with enough energy will pick a time and place for neighbors to come together in a public display of their stand for peace and global justice. We hope to be able to involve local artists and musicians to perform at these events.
