Bottom Line Navigational Command Center 6500
Bottom Line Navigational Command Center 6500

Keeping down-rigged lures off the bottom, free of snags and in the fish usually requires one crew member per downrigger. The new Bottom Line Tournament Champion Navigational Command Center (NCC) 6500 changes all that. Up to six Cannon Mag 20 DT electric downriggers can be controlled right from the unit's keypad. You can raise or lower trolling weights, set a fixed trolling depth or automatically maintain a set trolling distance above the bottom. You can also program the downriggers to cycle up and down a desired number of feet at preset time intervals to add action to the lures. In addition to running the downriggers, the NCC 6500 is a combination fish finder/chart plotter/boat controller. The sounder's transducer includes separate elements that look in five directions at once: straight down, 45 degrees left and down, 45 degrees right and down, and straight out left and right just below the surface. Bottom Line says the unit's 650-watt (RMS) transmitter can reach depths to 1,200 feet. Suggested retail is $1,449.99 with GPS. Contact Computrol at 208-887-1000, www.computrol.com.
